Our Story

Our extreme passion for sustainable living was our motivating force that created Homestead Enterprises.

Patrick and I have been fortunate to have grown up on farms where this was our daily existence.  Further to this I have been privileged to have lived in several countries where I expanded my skills by spending time with knowledgeable locals and attended courses in Preserving, Canning and Cheese Making. 

After numerous requests to share our knowledge we founded Homestead Enterprises and teach educational and fun workshops in Cheese Making and Home Preserves.  Patrick, who is from North America teaches workshops in Hot and Cold smoking.  This is a skill that he is continually refining. 

We enjoy sharing our stories, expertise and knowledge and continuing these disappearing practices.
